Jonathan has been developing web applications for over 20 years, and holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. Prior to founding ScribbleLive, he ran the development team for Canada's largest broadcaster.

In 2008, Jonathan founded ScribbleLive with Michael De Monte. As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), he wrote and maintained the entire codebase himself for the first year, and continued to stay actively involved in the development of the product until 2015. ScribbleLive has offices around the world and has raised $59M in capital.

His next venture Sam:) was created in 2015 and launched two of the most successful bots on the Kik Bot Shop. By connecting real people for chat, Sam:) accumulated an extensive database of natural conversations. Using artificial intelligence and NLP, Sam:) created friendly bots that mimicked natural human speech. Sam:) was acquired by Hugging Face in September 2017.

Jonathan’s latest venture Acies AI was created in 2020 and features an innovative Enterprise Business Intelligence solution for the Payment industry. Working with major brands, Acies AI is able to convert raw transaction data into rich BI experiences, and AI-driven insights.
